Books - The Black Dress Mary MacKillop’s Early Years by Pamela Freeman

Pamela Freeman appears to have taken real characters and places from what is known about Mary MacKillop and placed them into a fictional story about what Mary MacKillop’s life was like before she became a nun. As a result this book is interesting and an enjoyable read.

The Black Dress is written with Mary MacKillop looking back on the influences of her life, particularly focusing on her childhood. Pamela Freeman presents Mary MacKillop as a girl who is trying to do the right things by her parents, church and the community as taught to her by her parents yet at the same time she is learning about the world in which she will live as an adult, both the good and the bad. Pamela Freeman highlights the struggle between families, communities, those who have money and those who don’t within the context of Australia from 1845-1861 with other dates until 1909. Through highlighting this struggle Pamela Freeman shows the impact of what happened on Mary MacKillop’s life and therefore, her resulting choices with her life.

I thought this book was amazing! My favourite book ever! There is a group of girls Massie, Alicia, Kirsten, and Dylan they are all bffs. When Claire (the new girl) moves into Massie's(the clique leader) geust house things get out of hand. Mssie and teh girls all gang up on Claire to make her life miserable. All claire wants is to be a part of teh clique. What do you think will happen?

The clique - only thing harder then getting in is staying in. check it out! Girls aged 12-17 will LOVE it!

Music - Middle Of Nowhere by Hanson

Although this cd was released in may of 1997, i believe that this is one of the best cd's released.

The album is pop, yes. But the vocals and musical arrengents are very advanced for band members Issac(17), Taylor(13) and Zac(11).

If you ever get the chance to listen to this cd, you should take it up. If you don;t know who Hanson are, they released 'MMMBop', their first single from this album. Since then, they have released 4 more albums, but this one still beats them all.

This was released when they were all recognising their talent, which makes the album very experimental.

Please, don't think that the album will be bad, just because it's three brothers, and its under the pop genre. Give it a chance, you might actually enjoy it.

Lots of people are out there searching for new online multiplayer games to play that are similar to their favourites. I'm compiling a list of Multiplayer games on my Teen Online Games site and I need some help.

Here's an example of what I was thinking of:

Cool CD. I really like the song, "Two Faced Man." I think that song would sound really cool if a woman sang it. "Love Came To Town" is great too. "A.I." is like a song from the 80s or something. It's got this spiritual edge to it which is really cool, and it's got a great rock too! Get this CD. It rocks!

Jackie French has once again spun a beautiful tale. The story is about a young girl Anya who may seem normal but is auctually very different. She has dreams of things that happened in the past. Dreams of fertiliser, bottles and fruit all the things that don't exsist in dull town Greycliffs. Eventually she is sent to the mountain were there are other people like her, called pastseers. However one girl is still missing, Melya. The book follows Anya and her friend Ib as they journey to find Melya.

The sequel to the highly-addictive Luxor is a lot of fun, although not quite as good as the original. I'm not sure if I can describe it without sounding totally lame, however here goes. The aim is to shoot coloured balls into a chain to form groups of 3 or more to make them disappear before they travel into a pyramid. As you get rid of the chains you collect coins etc and build up your score.

Luxor 2 has new designs and heaps of fantastic new powerups, however I've found I haven't played it quite as much as the original.

This game is a masterpeice. The graphics are brilliant and the story is also well thought out. As a survivor of a massive global neuclear fallout, you must use everything you can to survive. the interaction with the other (computer) characters is brilliant; conversations actually seem natural, and there is decent lip-synching for once. Possibly the greatest First Person Shooter ever. Genre is Survival/Action with elements of horror. Be warned though, it is a 15+ Restricted game, and has the 18+ Rating in the USA. Enjoy!

This book was so great...its about a girl who has an eating disoder and is looking for the easiest ways to become "perfect" She is gettin so fed up with all of the "perfect" girls at her school. When somthing goes wrong she gets sent to a rehab center, where she finds her self a suprise. I don't want to give anything away...so...

Overall this is a great book about how friends are always there for you, new and old. And no matter what lead your own path, people may not be what they appear.

worst game ever. it has horrible graphics, jagex has power to do anything they want to your character, and they have little taddle- tail players running around as vigilantes called player mods. its basicly like playing with a bunch of 6 year olds and their mommies! lets just say if i was to suggest this game to my friends, they would hit me with a shovel.but....however, if so many people like it i guess i'm the wieerd one. i guess it depends on oppinnion. anyone agree with me?

Awesome. you can level up your characters, change classes, get new characters, battle, use magic, its just what i was looking for. the only down side is that unlike its predicesor, fire emblem sacred stones, you cant play very much after you finish the game. you can do little trial maps, but it doesnt save, therefore you cant get any stronger.but, overall, it is one of the best games i have ever played. i would reccomend it to everyone, and everyon i have reccomended it to loves it. it totaly earns the ten.

Oh my gosh it's amazing! And safe for the younger kids!!

You can chat, hang out with friends, build rooms and explore the virtual kingdom! Disney made it for 8-14 year olds but ANYONE can play. My dad plays it! The chat system lets you say whatever you want as long as it's safe. For example: you can't say curse words.

Book - the outsiders by S.E Hinton

I recomend this book for every teenager in the world. it is sad in some parts but it is a very intresting book to read. once you start reading it you will neva put it down. S.E Hinton Also Wrote Heaps of otha teen books such as: That was then this is now, Rumble Fish, Taming The Star Runner & Tex. She wrote the outsiders when she was 17 so it was good that she wrote teen books for teen's when she was a teen.

this book is for more advanced readers, i would say anyone who has read lord of the rings, or any michael crichton books would love it,

its a science fiction ( secound in the engines of god series) and like the first book, the main character is pricilla hutchings ("hutch" ). three weeks before an 80million year old ice planet is destroyed by an gas giant, servey teams see ruins below the ice, ruins from a species that existed before earth was created!!!! but the planet is hiding more than it seems!
